Private Foodie Experience
Have a local friend to show you the best of the modern and traditional gastronomy, as well as the mixology and speciality coffee scene. All of this while talking about the neighborhood's and country history.
This is a private experience for real foodies. Discover our country's and our city's gastronomy with lunch or dinner options available for you to choose from.
We'll walk the gastronomic district of San Jose Costa Rica and visit the places that are rescuing our gastronomic heritage or pushing the scene forward. We'll take you to five places total: three restaurants, for a three course meal (a course at each stop), a cocktail bar and a speciality coffee shop.
Each stop has something that makes them unique, either their own farm with organic ingredients, or fair trade practices that ensure you the quality and source of the products used, or a whole culinary research project going on.
And, as we walk from one place to the next one, we'll be sharing with you the history of the neighborhood and it's architecture.
We'll meet at our office Carpe Chepe, San Jose Tours, in Barrio California and from there we'll walk through the historic buildings on the East of the city as we walk towards the restaurants that we consider are doing something different in the local gastronomy.

Direct purchases made through Carpe Chepe may be refunded if cancelled 24h prior to event, otherwise no refund is applicable. Tour may be rescheduled at Carpe Chepe's discretion.
