Walk the city with a local expert that will narrate the history behind our iconic Central Market and get you to sample the best local food.
A city is nothing without its commercial activity. Markets around the world provide colorful life to the cities and develop the idiosyncrasies of each country. Our Central market in the heart of San Jose is no exception. On this tour we will visit this 139-year legacy and get to know the history of the first markets that existed in our capital as we taste some of the flavors that make it unique.
We'll meet up in front of the National Theater, in order to be easier to find, we always wear our yellow uniform with the Carpe Chepe logo and the company badge. Once you find your guide, we'll walk towards the Central Market talking about the history of the first markets in the city prior to the construction of it in 1880.
Once inside of the market we'll show you the shops that make it so special for us, but the best part of it is that we will eat at the best kiosks. This is a really immersive cultural experience.
